We make possible boats in LU

Nice way of adding them. You will notice though if you go out of sync range or somebody enters a boat out of range, they are badly desync'd. They can also cause some crashes when people exit a boat sometimes. That's why they are disabled atm.

Yes, but crash - it is so low price for the riding on the boats. Maybe i'm optimist!)) And VRocker, i want ask you, why you delet post and account of [MC]ShumovP? I'm very interested it.

You should also notice that this method is only possible if the server has disabled anticheat. If you're using this trick you cannot join a server which has enabled Unleashed anticheat.

Possible crashes arent the only problem, boats can also cause desync like VRocker said.

I don't recall deleting an account with that name, i only delete spam bot accounts. I may have accidentally deleted his account instead of a spam bot, in which case i apologise.

Yes, but it work!)) Maybe you make sync with default.ide? It will be so simple!

Boats were removed last minuted due to the desync issues, I'm fairly sure the Desync is being addressed in v2, which is being worked on alot by VRocker and the LU dev team, the boats never really added much to the game anyway since IIRC you can't swim in GTA III, I never really understood the purpose of the boats, if they catch fire you're as good as dead, but I digress, The LU team did have working boats to a point, but they found that the desync caused crashes and such, and so boats were removed for the time being, and whilst yes you can get them, Desync is a big issue with them.

But we haven't problem with desync, if all players change default.ide. Maybe dev team will think about it? About swimming in GTA 3... Dude, i know what this is impossible. I told about boats. We change one file and we taken a boats. What's the problem to sync default.ide i asking again?)

The way we disabled boats in LU was add a check on spawning a vehicle to make sure its not a boat or an invalid model (such as the air train). By changing the default.ide to give the boats the model ID of a manana, it makes LU think your spawning a valid model. Yes we could remove the model IDs from the invalid list, but we will do that once they are working properly and don't cause major bugs.
I'm guessing you haven't encountered the bugs which we found before the release, otherwise you would understand. It took a while for the problems to show themselves while we were testing.

Rest assured we are looking into fixing boats and putting it into a future update, but the method you discuss is more of a bypass of security measures implemented into LU more than a fix

not sure what you meant by this, but I know for a fact VRocker was working on the boat desync issue last night before he went, so I would be inclined to say the next update for LU will likely have working Boats.

As mentioned above desync is only one of the issues with boats right now. Fixing that issue doesn't mean that boats will be added in the next update, but it means we'll have less work to do when we are ready to take a closer look at the problem.
