Why it is enabled? Image is not smooth!

There are next to no sync issues...
Post a screenie to show what you mean by "image is not smooth"

I see no sync or lack of image smoothness in this video, nor have I experienced any sync issues during gameplay.

Personally I'm inclined to put it down to a weak computer.

Image not being smooth is nothing to do with the frame limiter, it's your PC, try turning trails off in the graphics options, or turning the res down a bit.

You don't want to experience what GTA 3 does on a PC that runs GTA IV on high easily, with no frame limiter. :x

I know, when I turn off Frame limiter on my PC in single mode, I get about 400-800 FPS, and game isn't working properly. But if I turn on Frame Synchronization (or VSync, this option is located near Frame limiter), then I got 60 FPS, and game runs good, animation and rendering are smooth.

I think you can press esc after connecting and change your display options...
Works for me ...

Please post your hardware data (ram, graphic card, motherboard, cpu, disk space everything...) and we will check if your PC is weak for this game...

And maybe you are not facing with fps problem, maybe your internet is not fast enough or you are connecting to a server with high ping in your country...

The point is the game isn't too smooth on 30FPS's (LU's limit). Don't blame my PC, cause Mafia II runs great on max details here (>40FPS). The best thing would be a "SetFPS" function.

30fps isnt LU's limit, it's GTA3's limit. GTAs are very buggy and poorly coded games (III more than VC or SA) and using a limit higher than 30 would cause problems.

I know thtat's the GTA3 limit, but in sp you can turn it off, so there are no limits :p. On 40-50 FPSes the game works great - smoothly and theres no "death bug". Try it yourself.
