Title: Exporting to DFF (models)
Post by: Bob on November 24, 2011, 09:50:11 pm
I created something in Sketchup, exported it to .DAE, converted it with FBX to DFX, and now I've been tweaking it in Gmax.

How am I suppose to get this file to DFF? I don't really want another god damn modelling programming, 3DS Max looks commercial and Zmodeler is also paid. Its a bit frustrating.

I think ZModeler might be your only choice, yeah...sorry about that!  :-\

Moved. This had nothing to do with scripting.

You need GMax.

You can find info here (http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=218318)
Which could be found with a simple google search..

Sorry, I just noticed there was a mapping discussion also posted around those forums and it seemed like a similar theme since scripting and modelling go hand in hand sometimes.

Wow thanks, those scripts look like just what I need. I'll report back soon.

However as I put in my original post, I already have GMax. After doing searching I couldn't find a straight answer for exporting with GMax so I figured I was given poor advice.  :(

EDIT: Import works okay but export is a nightmare. Poor documentation even online about these runtime errors its giving. Typical.
