Title: LU hangs my GTA3/machine
Post by: mistamontiel on March 10, 2012, 01:40:36 pm
Howdyho

My GTA3 is patched to v1.1. I join a server, my GTA3 fires up, and it hangs on the title screen with the LU logo.

I try End Process in Task Manager, nothing, it just hangs there, and so I'm forced to shut down

Any ideas..? Cheers

Server I was trying was the most active. Starts with "lolmortuary"

Not much running at all. I tried again right after booting up and same result, GTA3 hangs there

I tested GTA3 offline, and sure enough, it doesn't lock-up

I've had this happen before, mainly because of some issues reading the disc. When I reopened it, it worked fine.

That's what I'm saying. It refuses to close even using End Process, it just hangs there at title with LU logo, couldn't reopen if I tried

I'm gonna disable DEP on LU.exe , if that solves then I'll edit this one

EDIT: It says it needs DEP..so much for that

Try disabling it on GTA III's executable.

I get this when running it installed via the HDD too. It seems to be memory-related in all the 3D GTA's from the GTA III-era canon.

Did you ever resolve your situation? :)
