After some careful thought and having a month of laziness, i decided its time to recruit another developer to the team.

Everybody please give a warm welcome to Savage_Axe!

Savage is a great programmer and has some good ideas to bring to the project. Should hopefully speed up any kind of release and also enhance the mod with some better features :)

Wow i didn't know steam were now selling GTA's. Thanks for letting us know (even though i have them all.. :P)

anyway, i'm unsure how 3rd party games work on steam. If it works just like the original games with the same executables and stuff then LU should work. If its a differant executable (which i doubt) then it will not work.

Any information into how it all works would be appreciated :)

Not much really. fixed a few things here and there but nothing enough to post about.

Mostly been trying to fix some vehicle bugs that still exist. Once these are fixed then it should be easy enough to do the rest

I will be adding a keybinds system into LU soon.

One will be local so you can map keys to whatever you want. the other will be scripted key binds to call script functions

The IRC channel is sometimes active. Like now theres a few people speaking.

I wish that:
-Maps will be programed in Pawn (or add a "Map Creator")
-Map creator can add new buildings
-Players can do something like "Drive_Thru" (one man is driving, rest of passengers are shooting)
-Players can use animations like /sit or /handsup
-Players can scroll up and down chat
-Add a "Map" option to menu (like in Vice City :P)

Maps will be created using a map editor which i will make sometime in the near future (or bug somebody else to :P)

With the New Buildings... Do you mean completely new ones (as in, not already in the game), if so this wont be in the first version but maybe in a second if the mod gets popular

Drivebys will hopefully be implimented. Havn't really looked into it but it shouldn't be too hard to do

Animations will more likely be scripted but i havn't looked into them yet

I have thought about adding the ability to scroll through the chat but since its not a necessity at the moment i havn't looked into adding it

I will be creating an ingame map soon because its annoying when trying to find someone by just using the radar :P

On a side note... Sounds like you've played SA-MP too much and want stuff that has in LU... This mod isn't intended to be like SA-MP or VC-MP. Some things may also be in those mods but its because i want to give players/server operators the ability to change/control any aspect of the game to make the gaming experience more unique.
When scripting is fully implimented it should give you more control over the game than the SCM so near enough any game mode should be possible to create :)

Oh and 3LV15, Scripting will be LUA not Pawn. LUA is a lot nicer and a hell of a lot more powerful

Ermm why the hell was you running win2k without SP4 anyway? i wasn't aware of anything that worked without SP4.

Also its always good to have the latest updates as they do patch certain exploits. Your just unfortunate that win2k is so out of date that nothing gets patched for it anymore

Ahh i know what you mean, i was thinking of implimenting that but not too sure... Could do when i get bored i suppose but not promising anything
