I've entered the GTA Multiplayer.CZ server (awesome server, by the way), and I saw a kind-of-pink color in the SmallMessage text, something like this:

Press "X" to bust players

NOTE: This is a SmallMessage text, not a chat text

How is this done?

You can use the color tags in every message.
So something like this should work:
MessagePlayer("Press \"[#FFC0CB]X[#d]\" to bust players", pPlayer );
