You might remember this error, this is probably why people are not on LU anymore. I bet you're ignoring it just to troll us all. Fix it or probably everyone's gonna leave forever... I mean, I can just move to only playing on SA:MP while completely ignoring GTA III.

Bad attitudes like that are why the Developers don't want to work on things. They do this for free so everyone can have fun. If you don't appreciate it, why should they bother?


people are allowed to have opinions, why would someone want appreciate program that doesnt work and errors all the time? its developers job to fix that.

well i m not having any problems myself, but alot other people seem to. these kind of errors should not be ignored

It is not their job to do anything. They are doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. They don't have to do anything at all for us. They may be tasked with such things, but they are not required to do them. If people continue to abuse and shit-talk this mod, do you really think they would even want to work on it? Think about it. If you were in their shoes, would you want to?

So far the community has been nothing but vile, unsupportive, and extremely negative toward itself and the users within it. Can you really blame the Developers for not wanting to make this a priority in their lives if no one is enjoying it?

If people really want to see a change and help get the Developers interested again, then a community-wide change needs to happen.

That is because the 192.168.*.* address is an internal network IP address. You need your external IP address that is visible to the outside world.

Just for reference, "redlinks" on the Wiki aren't broken links. It means the page being referenced doesn't exist yet. Someone hasn't written up anything for that particular page for it to be created.

Oh well :P no actually it's that you always had this title even when there was no development anymore, I even remember when GTA3 board in Argonath forums was gone so I assumed it was the end of it, then I saw the board was back and the activity increased again. Though yeah I knew you were manager of it but I didn't know you were involved in the development as well I overlooked it ><

Well so there is still nothing sure about LU Argonath? I thought the development reached was complete enough for public tests, actually I assumed from what I read about it. So I guess that explains why it hasn't been announced here yet. It would be nice if the dev guys could tell us what features are gonna be there and what not, etc.
Apparently no one reads my custom title on this forum. :D

Still developing under the latest version available. The more bugs we find and report, the less that will be in the next version. ;)

I am happy to tell you that my old intel PentiumIII with my development environment is still living and I have found the old sourcecode.
You can also have a look at my ggm 0.5 experiment where I have tried to let the server manage the vehicles and implement actor shooting.

I got stuck when I tried to let the big cargoship drive around with Columbian players. (the ship from the 8Ball cutsceen where it exploded) If you select them they will fall into water where the ship was placed.
After that I have started so many tests and I struggled from one failure to the next or came into a deadend.
While all these changes to the script and the code I have also destroyed the server car handling which then ended in the problem that spawning a boat hung the SCM script completely.
I have uploaded a version 05revX in which most of the new stuff were still working but the skin selection and spawn locations were just in the beginnings.
But sometimes working things justs get lost by a fast endless test.
 
But there is also a good news.
ggm version 0.4 is the only GTA3 multiplayer which supports the IIIAircraft mod (only GTA 3 ver 1.0!!!) from the developer SilentP, who has made it possible to fly planes and helis in GTA3 even the hunter. Only shooting is not synced.
If people who play ggm has installed GTA3 version 1.0 and III Aircraft they can see each other when entering or flying the Aircrafts whithout crash. But as before you must not enter a vehicle of an other player.

...and the other being James_Conway, since I read something about it in Argonath forum.
We are still trying to get the Argonath RPG server finished, but every time we get close, something goes wrong and we have to rewrite it from scratch again, followed by half our team suddenly retiring without warning. ;D
