I actually just did some RP at Lolmortuary.

Used skin 1 and car 116 and drove around as a police officer. Another player and I got into a pursuit to take a "suspect" down haha. I also pulled some people over for running red lights, took them to the station, or fined them. And I busted two players selling drugs down an alley.  

Wow that is a strange exploit. At least it can be fixed now its out in the open.

The way you say many of the RP servers "aren't completed" is a concern. I have been part of other games where players relied too much on mods to role play. The result is, they don't role play. They just play around with the mod and forget the original purpose.

A max ping of 400 seems reasonable. Though ethically I still think there is a bit of an issue with this script.

To add to what Striker said, you will find that a lot of players are more interested in killing you or getting you to race if you are lucky.

I personally tend to just drive around the city, hang around restaurants and places of interest in an RP fashion, ferry players about with my car, and I occasionally kill in self defense or revenge. I'd like to see more people acting in a more realistic way in the city for the good of RP, but it rarely happens.

That isn't to say someone couldn't start their own RP server or try to set a standard for roleplay.

A person called UnknowmPlayer (yes, thats his name, I acknowledge the spelling error hah) has shown suspicious activity. I found him alone on a server, and shortly after approaching him things started acting unresponsive and he went invisible. About 3 seconds after running around I lost connection and the server fell off the master list.

I find him again at the GTA.ru server. Things are fine for a while. I finally go up to him again, I have trouble walking and he kills me. I /goto him. Then I find my CMDs won't work and the game starts to act weird as it did before. Shortly after I find just about every player including myself suddenly disconnects from the server in a similar crash to before, however this time it remains on the master list.

Is it possible for a player to be crashing a server, by accident or even on purpose? It seems a little odd to me, either he is causing crashes or they are following him. Was wondering if anyone else knows this player and has noted similar occurrences? May have been a coincidence but it striked me as very odd.

GTA IV needs minimum 1GB video card and 2.8GHz processor as far as i am informed? ...GTA V seems to me that it would fit like requirements i said before hm :/

You are making the wrong assumption that because its a new game it will require almost double the power than the previous game. I'd say, based off the pattern of previous GTA updates and their requirements, you'd be looking more closely at.

At least 2GB ram (3GB recommended)

GTA got a bad wrap for a lazy PC port last time so I don't see them expecting players to have a 2GB graphics card. Very few people have those, its an unrealistic prediction.

Nah, a 3.5ghz processor and a 2GB video card? That'd be asking for sales trouble. I imagine the requirements will be similar to the previous release.

well only people from australia, new zeland, japan, india, china etc. will have high pings on hosted european servers and that would be around 350-450 so there is no possibility that someone can connect with normal ping 500+ because there is nothing more far then the countries i mentioned, thats why i set it like 500+ ......250 is too low VetalYa specially if you are runnning a server on your pc

Only? You just listed a lot of places.

I've met and talked to American players who have a ping ranking of around 280 to 300 and have good grade internet. Even so, you are still shutting out a significant amount of the world, and for what exactly? Even when playing with users who have high pings, I've never experience or witnessed a slowdown with the server, let alone one that hurts gameplay.

It looks nice but I'm not that excited by the trailer, it doesn't reveal much.

I take great offense to this script.

A player like me, even with decent internet, will have a ping of between 300 to 350 or so. Having a ping of less than 200 is usually only possible when the user is in the same country or close to the host. You will be unfairly shutting out a lot of people from servers just because of where they live.

The only people who deserve to be disconnected from servers are those with ping levels above 700 at the very least. This is because those people are using bad connections, some even daring to use dial up.

As a host for a game, you have to be prepared to host for people with high ping of up to 500. If your server can't handle that, you shouldn't be hosting. It almost makes you a bad admin to try to get rid of people over ping.

If this is true, it may explain why one Russian player I encountered couldn't be killed. In saying that, I have very little knowledge of this all and I didn't even know there was a way to 'hack' or 'cheat' hahah.

MIDI is not a very good format to use as far as I'm concerned, supported or otherwise. Try WAV or MP3. If you are having trouble converting them to good quality audio at a small file rate, I can help you if you want to send me the files. I often have to battle with sounds and video when converting them for software projects or modding with other games that are strict with file size.
