Just on a side note... The Liberty Unleashed team do not support ban evading in any way, shape or form. If your banned you should just accept it and learn to live with it since theres either a good reason for being banned or the place you got banned from is too lame to be associated with you

Are you planning on having peds and other vehicles driving around in the final version? It gets a little lonely in a big city with only a few people.

As with any other mod, peds will not be implimented since they take a lot of work and a lot of bandwidth. Its also trivial to get them working properly.
Also if LU ever gets popular then there should be a few full servers. And since the current player limit is 100 and can be restricted to certain islands i doubt it would get that lonely :)

Maybe make inbulid game mode? Something like manhunt or RPG. Im think about:
players spawned as cops have informations about other players(wanted level), and other players have wanted level for killing. It can be good, bur hard to make. And this gamemode can be selected in serer config. for example:
1 - Death match
2 - Cops vs killers
and making own respawnpoints.

Gamemods will be done via scripting. This gives the mod a lot more flexability and people can customize their gamemodes to do whatever they want.

Your post gave me an idea.
Some players that choose to be cops are getting knowed about some players that have a wanted level.
They know the name and the latest postition where they made the latest crime.
The cops are getting money or score if they can kill this guy.

It would be amazing if it would be server config. Cause then there will be some guys that always are trying to kill someone. And all cops should have the abbility to see a list in wich all players that have made a crime are showned. By name and wanted level and last crime place.

You higher wanted level you have you more money will the cops get from killing you.
That had been very cool. Especially if the cops can talk to eachother with headset's too.
It would be a very fun thing to try

This idea will be available via scripting. Wanted levels will be controllable using mirc or lua and eventually i will add wanted levels on the nametags :)
Also, with my latest idea.... checking whos wanted will be easier than in other mods (You'll know soon what the latest idea/feature is ;))

Yay! i have my internet back :D so i can keep you guys up to date on any progress again :)

Yes, i know progress on LU has been slow lately but the pace will pickup soon. AJ has finally got in the swing of creating the mIRC admin (Now called the mIRC Command Console) and i must say he has some VERY interesting ideas! I'm sure you'll love them as much as us :)

I've had a small dabble with things as i've explained in the development blog (Remember to keep having a look there for the latest updates :)) and i've been adding some functions to the mirc dll for AJ.

Also while i'm here, i'd like to apologise for the lack of screenshots and videos. Since development has mainly been 'behind the scenes' stuff we cant really show you anything new. When there is something new you'll know about it :)

Well thats me done, i thought i'd just let you all know that i'm back until i lose the internet again which shouldn't be anytime soon...

At the moment skins will be a selection of pedestrians and special skins (8ball, misti, catalina etc).
Although thought has been put into using custom skins, this will probably be saved for a later version since it will most likely be a lot of work to get working correctly

As i stated in my previous post all of those options will be available. As well as object spawn points such as ramps etc so you can create your own maps within the GTA map :)

Thought i'd throw my thoughts n stuff in here.

Many things people have suggested are availale via scripting or server config. It seems people are still thinking its like MTA 0.5 which it isn't. In comparison the flexability of the server config is like VC-MP, Which many of you may know you can define a lot of differant things.

Scripting wise it will be possible to control many aspects of the game. I will start a thread for scripting suggestions when more stuff has been implimented.

To Phillip:
Sirens: Maybe if i can find the required stuff, shouldn't be too hard
Drivebys: Once again, if i can find the required stuff. May make it definable whether they are allowed though as i know some people hate drivebys.
Tanks: Definable via the server config and spawnable with scripting.
Fire truck turrets: These might already be in but havn't been tested yet. I want these too :)
Passengers: These will be in because whats the fun of multiplayer if you can't scare your mate with mad driving? :P

To Mount:
Everything you said will be available. Syncing empty cars would be possible by providing a small periodic update to the players so things dont get desynced as much.

Checkpoints, Pickups and garage doors are in already, they just need a bit more coding to finish them off :)

The way i am planning to do spawning is 2 differant ways. One way is to use a built in spawn select screen which i will create. This will involve selecting characters with weapons and teams defined in the server config file. This will be togglable in the config file. Another way is to turn off the inbuilt spawn select and use a scripted spawn stuff. This would allow people to customise their own spawn stuff and be creative in how players spawn. It would also be possible to create a proper RPG where skins will only have to be selected on first spawn then whenever you die or rejoin the server you automatically respawn in your last position (Or hospital when you die) with your chosen skin.
Map selection will be definable and scriptable :)

I think thats answered most of the main stuff. Anything else just gimme a poke :)

Many of you may have noticed (Especially if you idle in the IRC channel) that i havn't been around this week. I'm sorry about this and it really is beyond my control.

For unforeseen reasons i have lost my internet connection at home and dont know when or if i will get it back :( At the moment i'm using a wi-fi connection i picked up in the area but its weak and keeps dropping out.

Anyway, about librty-unleashed... although i now have no internet i am still developing it :) I've progressed in the dissassembly of GTA3 a LOT. Found some really cool functions :) Even considering recoding the mod to be more efficient by hooking into main functions instead of creating my own loops.

Anyway, just to let you know the mod isn't dead, just progressing silently.

P.S. I will post updates whenever there is any and when i can

Have you ever played MTA on this machine? If that was ok then LU should be too.

Single player lag can be a bit of a problem. In multiplayer this lag could clear up (Due to the game not having to process AI and stuff) but it could also get worse. If your game lags then you will lag remotely too (even with a very low ping)

I will see if i have a similar spec machine lying around somewhere (i think i have) to test on. Although, it has been tested on a 900MHz AMD Athlon, 256MB Ram, ATi Radeon 7000 graphics card and although it worked, text wasn't visible and graphics corruption appeared after playing for about 15mins so your machine may be worse.

Cool suggestion :) I think a lot of people might like this as it would enforce team playing a bit more since you cant steal your friends car. I'll see if i can impliment this at one stage

As many of you may have noticed, The forum had been changed by a retard that was recently kicked out of the Liberty Unleashed team.

The person in question is the person everybody hates... yes its AdamX.
Some of you may have noticed that topics were moved and replaced with some gay logo from a script kiddie community adam seems to think is leet. The way he did this was to get somebody in the team to give him his password. In a way i knew this would happen (so i dont know why i didn't limit his permissions to the forum more...)

Anyway, i got revenge by taking down his 2 forums on his shit website which caused him to have to wipe them both clean since he couldn't even get the forum out of maintenance mode :P

also, i've restored a few topics on our forum but the authors will have to re-write their topic since the backups are corrupted :(

Liberty Unleashed is safe for another day though, and although you may think LU is leaked... i assure you that what adam posted is not a real LU client. It was a trap set when i suspected his acomplice. Any of you that may have tried the 'leak' will notice that it either says cannot connect or displays a giant message before closing the game. Thats not the oly things people may ave noticed but its they're the most common things i implimented.
