To the more dodos post... Vehicles are definable in the server config and will be able to be spawned on demand via scripting so how many dodos are at the airport is up to the person who hosts the server :)
Vehicles, objects, pickups and player spawns are selectable through the server config so every server wont have all the same stuff and placements :)
Team selection will also be implimented via server side definitions. There will be options to have teams or not :) Oh and i will probably impliment a mirc link to run mirc scripts aswell as the server side scripting.
And to foot/weapon sync. foot is nearly finished and so is weapons :P

heh.. me and VRocker were sayign today have a gamemode where you start with pistol and uzi & hide all other weapon pickups around the 3 islands =D

I Like what you say CookieM but what about having differnet charachters that start with differnet weapons?
Like standard Claude speed start with: Pistol, Uzi, Baseball bat
cops start with: pistol, mac
Soliders, machine guns
someone stats with the sniper
this could be as an special play mod but you are stilled allowed to buy weeapons in ammunation and pick them up from spawn points, but the negative with the ammunation is that some guys will guard it to take out the customers
and a lot of different types I can typing in a hundred moore but it will take to much time (LOL)

How about someone makes a "Wanted Game Modes" thread and cram them all in there. Another want from me is a trade like feature, so if you're stuck without a ride you can give a gang member a fiver and get him to give you a ride to the nearest car, this would mean that money should be worth more and harder to get. I wouldn't like a RPG though :P Then again LC is small enough to walk to a car no matter where it is.

But shotguns are where?? Its standard weapon to fight 1vs1!. Lol. Maybe its funny but true. If somebody have duel 1vs1 he is dont fight with uzi, but with shotgun. After respawn killed player must finding shotgun. Little no sens, but its only my suggestion.

Most of the stuff you are asking for would be have to be added in the server scripts if I am correct.

Well maybe it's hard to think is possible and maybe stupid but can I ask you to make mod for GTA3 where the objects are using less poligons and less efects so the LU is possible to be played on PCs like mine. I think I said that in singleplayer GTA3 is running good on my PC but on MTA is inpossible.

Less polygons? No!
Get a better PC instead but it maybe will be ok if there is a special servers for the "Bad computers" but it wont be very popular. Have the polygons at the same as the orginal or higher

Thought i'd throw my thoughts n stuff in here.
Many things people have suggested are availale via scripting or server config. It seems people are still thinking its like MTA 0.5 which it isn't. In comparison the flexability of the server config is like VC-MP, Which many of you may know you can define a lot of differant things.
Scripting wise it will be possible to control many aspects of the game. I will start a thread for scripting suggestions when more stuff has been implimented.
To Phillip:
Sirens: Maybe if i can find the required stuff, shouldn't be too hard
Drivebys: Once again, if i can find the required stuff. May make it definable whether they are allowed though as i know some people hate drivebys.
Tanks: Definable via the server config and spawnable with scripting.
Fire truck turrets: These might already be in but havn't been tested yet. I want these too :)
Passengers: These will be in because whats the fun of multiplayer if you can't scare your mate with mad driving? :P
To Mount:
Everything you said will be available. Syncing empty cars would be possible by providing a small periodic update to the players so things dont get desynced as much.
Checkpoints, Pickups and garage doors are in already, they just need a bit more coding to finish them off :)
To Stoku
The way i am planning to do spawning is 2 differant ways. One way is to use a built in spawn select screen which i will create. This will involve selecting characters with weapons and teams defined in the server config file. This will be togglable in the config file. Another way is to turn off the inbuilt spawn select and use a scripted spawn stuff. This would allow people to customise their own spawn stuff and be creative in how players spawn. It would also be possible to create a proper RPG where skins will only have to be selected on first spawn then whenever you die or rejoin the server you automatically respawn in your last position (Or hospital when you die) with your chosen skin.
Map selection will be definable and scriptable :)
I think thats answered most of the main stuff. Anything else just gimme a poke :)

One multiplayer to VC or LCmod have in cfg file to change:
-Respawn points(selecting team by ID, position, angle, 1#gun, ammo, 2#gun, ammo, 3#gun ammo).
-Pickups respawns points(pickup ID, position)
-Car respawns(car ID, position, car color[can be random or own color from carcols.dat file])
-Team selection screen(skin pos, camera look pos and camera angle)
This can be in LU?

As i stated in my previous post all of those options will be available. As well as object spawn points such as ramps etc so you can create your own maps within the GTA map :)

Well, I for one would like to see a living city... Complete with pedestrians and traffic.
For me it's not quite fun to chase 2-3 friends in a big dead city.
I know it's demanding but i think if it's done correctly it's possible. It was in GTA and GTA2.
Maybe you could define vicinity zones (with customizable distances for slower PCs) around players to generate and sync traffic.
Or you could also put random pedestrians in, but not sync them (meaning every client would have random pedestrians and in different quantities around them, even if their zones overlap), and just sync traffic.
And you could put it in as an option, open to high bandwith LAN games...
That would rock ;D

Peds and traffic would be very difficult to sync properly aswell as taking a shitload of bandwidth....
GTA1 and 2 had them because rockstar built multiplayer into the game, so they have access to anything and can change how peds etc work. Using a 3rd party mod (like this) it'll be extremely difficult if not impossible to get perfectly.

Yeah, I tought so...
But what if making peds random on each client, meaning they wouldn't be synced, and sync only some traffic.
For example generating and syncing some cars in the vicinity of players. Their average quantity could be customized...
Let's say that means some 10-15 cars in the vicinity of the players... How much bnadwith would that take?

Its nice but im thinking about changing colours in client. For example:
^1[LCK]^2Stoku and its black and white:P. ^ + number is changing colour. Its like changing colours in ET.

What about a ladder gaming. I meen that from all LU players in the world there are, lets say 10 players that are the best and they recieve bonuses like faster, cooler vehicles, extra money or ammunition. What do you think?

I don't think it's a very good idea,
I would prefer if LU was fair for all, not any kind of experience or level system.
Some points for killing people but not, any kinds of thoose rewards that you listed NinjaShark!!!

Maps will be created using a map editor which i will make sometime in the near future (or bug somebody else to :P)
With the New Buildings... Do you mean completely new ones (as in, not already in the game), if so this wont be in the first version but maybe in a second if the mod gets popular
Drivebys will hopefully be implimented. Havn't really looked into it but it shouldn't be too hard to do
Animations will more likely be scripted but i havn't looked into them yet
I have thought about adding the ability to scroll through the chat but since its not a necessity at the moment i havn't looked into adding it
I will be creating an ingame map soon because its annoying when trying to find someone by just using the radar :P
On a side note... Sounds like you've played SA-MP too much and want stuff that has in LU... This mod isn't intended to be like SA-MP or VC-MP. Some things may also be in those mods but its because i want to give players/server operators the ability to change/control any aspect of the game to make the gaming experience more unique.
When scripting is fully implimented it should give you more control over the game than the SCM so near enough any game mode should be possible to create :)
Oh and 3LV15, Scripting will be LUA not Pawn. LUA is a lot nicer and a hell of a lot more powerful

If yes that as for example manages with "Houses" in these fashions?. How much I remember in GTA3 there are no so much interiors as in SA

I will be adding a keybinds system into LU soon.
One will be local so you can map keys to whatever you want. the other will be scripted key binds to call script functions

To 3LV15-In GTA3 most of buildings are empty, without flor.
To VRocker- Do you can add option to making own markers and if you stand in x marker you be teleported to x location/place? Something like teleports to buildings and own places.

Hey just an idea, You know the messaging that is blue and read that sometimes appear with text during some missions in GTA 3? It would be awsome if that could be used for sending out message to all players that play on the same server, Like the admin or something similar want to take global contact with evryone in the game! Just an idea though

It will be funny if there is a headshot feature :P Especially if someone has the sniper rifle ]:)
But I think it's better if the headshot feature is a turn on/off option for the server owners, if you know what I mean.

Headshots will be scriptable. They have already been half tested and seem to work well (except for a minor bug of the players head not reappearing on respawn...)
Also arm and leg shots worked when we tested, with the same bug as the headshots.
And because they are scriptable, its up to the server owner whether they want removable limbs enabled :)

Fly bug exists only in VC-MP and LC-MP. LU is on other core and IMO coded better by better devs.
About cracked GTA3... You'll be able to play it on cracked GTA3,but you need a GTA3 in version 1.1. There's a lot of cracked 1.1 exes in the web, but we will not give you link to any. You have to find it yourself.

Expanding world barriers. As anyone whos ever tried to take a boat to see the ghost town knows theres an invisible barrier that blocks only boats. Increased height limits for higher dodo flying.
Teleport points to both Kenji and Donald Love's rooftops, and the construction site elevator to the spot in the Asuka missions. And some other rooftops where a server owner could build roofwars. Similar to the rooftop tele points in VCMP.
Hopefully RC cars can be scripted.
I believe the Darkel character skin is in the game files somewhere. It would be cool if he could be a player skin.

As for teleports they can easily be scripted.
World barriers could be tweaked I guess.

Yeh as Windlord said, darkel is already in for use in LU but skins are currently disabled as they cause quite a lot of bugs.
Not really looked into expanding the world bounds, although they can be set to be lower than they should, which is useful for gamemodes

I wish a spectator mode with free fly and FOV change - this will add tons of possibilities for videos.

Humm...I have a lil suggestions. Is it possible to make a vehicle pickup? It'll be nice thing to make a car shops and...something new :). And if you can add thing to scale pickups - it could be good for saling houses - a small pickup of house view to buy.

The scripting language used in LU is Squirrel (http://squirrel-lang.org) Its nice :) i find it really easy to use. Hope you do too

I'd love to see a scriptable way to have interiors...even if they are user-made/taken from cutscenes. If it had to be done, users could just put the interiors themselves on an inaccessible/non-viewable part of the map and when a user "entered" the interior from a building door through some kind of icon/corona/blip, etc., they would be "teleported" to the interior and their icon taken off the radar/map, such as how SA:MP's interiors system works. It'd be a very awesome way to enhance gameplay for some users, including those in the RPG area! :D

Sounds nice for me. 3D low-poly interior modeling isn't hard and will add more sense into the game.
The idea for co-op missions isn't bad too.

Ability to script LU to play any of GTA3's sound files for a player or all players. ie; phone/pager ring tone, or even have one of those looping music tracks that you hear around Red Light District playing at your spawn selection screen.
And back to to the Pager. It would own if you could script the Sumo Wordman to pop out and say whatever text you want it to, such as... "(Pager rings & comes on screen...) PM from [Ka]Juppi. . . Mattz is a pro tammer. . ."

Sound support is already half implemented, for both GTA3 sounds and custom sounds (wavs etc). It'll be fun to add in some quake sounds in DM servers :)
The pager is already in and working fine. This can be used any way that you like, including for the PM idea.
Theres also a lot of other things you can do with the scripting which will make custom gamemodes that little bit better

This can easily be done via scripting so no need to force it upon everybody.
The GUI control in scripting will allow you to create things just like this with ease, just like in mta.
LU will be released when its ready. If i knew when that would be it would be announced.

why not normal CHAT? why is chat without bold font? and up small. In SA-MP is good synoptic chat...at last beta testing my friend(notebook) 15" cant see anything at chat...... :-\ :-\ :-\

The SA:MP chatbox isnt any kind of standard, if you mean that by a 'normal chat'. Also I prefer a chatbox with a background, makes the text readable any time while a chatbox without a background can sometimes vanish to the game graphics.
However the chatbox settings can be changed at any time ingame, this includes for example font, text size, line count and the option to enable or disable the background.

you should make a territory game mode (like in gta sa) that each gang got its own territory (in this case island) and need to protect the gang hall (in this case the place where the gang leader is it) and to go and takeover other territories,
the main objective of this game mod is to kill the enemy gang's boss.
(cops and robbers)
this game mode is actually the same like in SA:MP, there are a group of cops that are fighting against other players (criminals) for example in SA:MP theres a server called "Crazybob's Cops And Robbers", now this server is one of the most respected and best cops vs. robbers server there is, because you can do everything in there, work as everything you want, rob shops and kill people, chase after most wanted players.
this is a perfect example of my idea.
i wish those would be in liberty unleashed xD
