Liberty Unleashed 0.1 Update
Updates to Liberty Unleashed 0.1 have been released, they will be automatically applied the next time you restart your server browser, the following changes include:
- Fixed death messages saying the wrong person who killed you when a script sets your health
- Done a LOT of optimisations all over the code. Should run better on low-end systems
- Fixed the aiming offset when using widescreen
- Fixed numerous problems with the updater and added error messages
- Added warning dialogs when the GTA3 directory is invalid
- SCM file is no longer required
- Added a lot more script functions. See the wiki (http://liberty-unleashed.co.uk/LUWiki/Category:Scripting_Changes_in_0.1.0.9)
- Fixed some bugs in custom vehicle handling
- Fixed entering a vehicle at the same time as another player and jacking them
- Fixed failed vehicle entry when the driver drives off while you are entering
- Fixed a random server crash on exit if scripts had been used to spawn vehicles, objects, radar blips etc
- Fixed a potential crash and a bug in NumTok
- Fixed player.Vehicle not working if the vehicle is too far away
- Added a new download dialog with a change log to the browser
- Players now seek the nearest empty seat when there’s a driver in the car
- Possibly fixed invisible vehicles when teleporting
- Added extended ascii support to the GUI
- Fixed the browser using 100% CPU
- Synced waves and traffic lights
- Fixed the master list announcing in the server
- Fixed vehicle angles being incorrect remotely when seeking a vehicle
- Enhanced unoccupied vehicle sync slightly
- Fixed a crash related to the player alpha setting
- Fixed a standing in vehicle bug
The update requires the new client (which the browser should download) and a new server for any server hosters.
Note: This update changed the modules for the servers (such as lu_hashing, lu_ini etc) and you will be required to update them by downloading the latest zip/tar on the main page. Also the naming with the modules on linux has been fixed, they have been renamed from sq_ to lu_ as they should have been from release.
Any 3rd party modules will also require recompiling with the latest module SDK, since new callbacks were added.

Nice work man! But you have an error. In the cyrillic 33 letters, but now work only 31. Didn't work [you] and [ya] letters. [ya] - mean "I". So it is problematic to express themselves. + Chat open when i push english "T" and for that I constantly have to change the keyboard layout. I hope you find convenient solution! Good luck!

Waves were synced in VC-MP 0.3z and traffic lights...umm MTA:SA?

Ah woops, i forgot to allow the extra characters in the browser and in the nickname allow list. I'll fix this in the next update :)

Boats were going to be in this update so waves were synced for them. Unfortunately boats were causing more problems so we decided to release this update without boats so we have more time to fix them.

U could remove the waves if they cause 2 much trouble. Infact i think the sea should be still some times anyway... (with nice weather) Big waves could make your boat sink..

They where synced so boats from other players wouldn't look weird because their waves are different then yours. The waves weren't causing any problems for the boats, but the boats itself.

I was told about an issue affecting some people on windows 7 x64 but hasn't affected any of us developers or the testers. I have just been investigating the issue and compiled a new browser which needs testing.
Would you be able to replace your current LU.exe with this one (http://liberty-unleashed.co.uk/Stuff/LU.exe (http://liberty-unleashed.co.uk/Stuff/LU.exe)) and see if it works?

I have this problem in SA-MP, you only need Run browser as Administrator (If you have Win 7)

After looking into the issue more, it seems the updater is messing up the shortcut for the browser. If you right click on the shortcut to LU.exe, then click properties. Change the text next to 'start in' to your gta3 directory, it should work then :)

One bug with this update: unable to enter driver seat in some cars. If you enter wrong seat first time

Nope and not completely. Even SA:MP couldn't get them to completely work. They were all synced on time, not players.

You can lock cars with Vehicle.Locked (http://liberty-unleashed.co.uk/LUWiki/Squirrel/Server/Functions/Vehicles/Locked), or lock doors by using return 0; on vehicle entering.

Posting these replies asking when it's ready wont speed up the process, it can only slow it down.

I'm curious about this as well. I know it's on a "when it gets done" timeline, but I was just curious if there was an approximate estimation on when it's expected to be released, just to give us a general idea, assuming the Developers even have one right now. I'm loving the mod so far. Can't wait to see what bugs are fixed and features are added in the next one! :)
