Hey guys,
LU is working fine on my PC. My brother recently bought a new laptop with a Win 7 x64 OS. He has exactly the same problem that is described in this thread. We've been trying for hours to solve that, following every advise given in this thread.
We do run LU.exe directly from the GTAIII directory. It always launches singleplayer, no matter if we're Admin or not, if we use a compatibility mode or something else.
We even copied the whole GTAIII folders from my PC to his - Same problem.
So, what could be the reason for that? It must be something with Windows 7.. Normally, problems related to Admin rights and stuff can be sloved by disabling the UAC, but this does not seem to be the problem here. On my laptop, it even works with enabled UAC.
Here's another thing that might be related to it:
On my laptop, I set LU.exe to be run as Administrator. This caused a UAC shield symbol to appear next to the Icon. I think thats normal, and Google agrees with that.
On my brothers laptop, this does NOT happen! Neither with LU.exe nor with GTA3.exe or any other programs! I have absolutely no idea what could cause that, also google couldn't really help me there.
Maybe this helps somehow.. I or we also appreciate any help!

Disk 2 error is when GTA3 needs audio of the Disk 2. Copy the audio files of the disk 2 to the folder /audio/ located in your GTA3 directory.

What kind of connection does your server have? This sounds like a terrible connection.
Does ssh work fine, speed wise?
I'm changing of VPS, I can't answer you. The location (U.S.) have a ping of 100.

What dist, architecture and what does your console say? Also, try removing all scripts and see if you can join.
Thanks for reply. Dist: Debian 3.2.54-2 Architecture: i686 (32bits) Says the messages of connections, commands of the event "onConsoleInput" with lag (I type, without messages, minutes after, the messages) And removing the scripts doesn't work, only for 1 restart.

Hi again.
I having the next problem: When I starts the server on Linux, and I try to connect to the server, I can't by lag, always CONNECTING TO [..], and when I wait some minutes, works normally, showing the messages of the connection (with lag).
With my other own server and Windows this don't occurs, only Linux.
I TRIED: Rebooting the VPS, removing timers, removing the object for duels, checking "onScriptLoad". -> Nope

Why wouldn't you want to redownload scripts? They're tiny as hell and will only make sure scripts are up to date. Be happy it doesn't redownload sounds and sprites.
Also why would you want to know if a user has MP3's in his folder?
Redownload the scripts if are modified.
And many players says: /sound 9!! /mp3!! (for example) And if the players don't have MP3, crash.

what's so hard to make an array with garage IDs and make a function OpenGarageX for example to set 1 in the garage array for the given garage then do same for CloseGarage ?

You are being caught in a subnet ban belonging to IMMORTAL. Who has been permanently banned for spreading all kinds of harmful files. Unfortunately we're not going to unban those subnets, so as long as you have the 88.1*.*.* subnet you need to find another way to access our forum.

Where did the magical -o false come from? That is not a valid argument for the server so it thinks your server.conf is named -o or false.
Remove that and it should work fine
LOL, I remember, "-o" arguments is from Minecraft Bukkit server... Thanks. Topic locked
