Okay so recently i have been thinking of interesting scripts to create. something differnt.
Then i got thinking about how the handling config looks like when viewed as a text documment. Then i got thinking about the helicopeter configeration from vice city. i was thinking what if you where to manually delete all the other configs of vice city except the heli.?.
Then maybe create some remote functions then functions on entering that function and to read from cfg file. if possible. The dff and the model wouldnt be there, Yet.. but i think this is very possible without worrying about the texture and focusing on the heli first.
I would like to leave this topic opened For good scripters that really think they can do something with this and maybe turn this into a community project

So everything would somewhat be deleted except the heli cfg. i know this is maybe 80% possible on being done,,There would have to be A Crap load of functions but i what to leave this to technical scripters

There is a CLEO mod that exists to bring this functionality into GTA III, which works amazingly well, however it isn't compatible with LU at this time for a variety of reasons.

No, because of compatibility issues and security concerns. The mod that I mentioned uses CLEO, which entails a whole variety of changes and issues if it is implemented...even for a single mod. There's also the issue with changing a vanilla game to add support for something that is a modification not intended to be included with this particular mod. VRocker's status has nothing to do with that.

It can't be scripted. It is not using scripts to run. It is using non-native SCM code added by CLEO, among many other changes. Not only does LU not use SCM, (and for good reasons), it would still require the implementation of CLEO to work. It would also need to be synced, which would be incredibly difficult, and would require all users to have the mod for everything to work properly. That in itself puts into question whether the mod belongs in LU as a package or not, plus it requires permission from the original mod's author to be done legally.
If I were you, I would request the mod author to make a version that runs through standard memory hooking so that it doesn't require CLEO or SCM to work. Then you may have a chance at getting it implemented in LU, or at least supported, assuming the original author doesn't have an issue with it.
Keep in mind, I'm not against the idea. I love the mod myself, and I'd be very happy to see LU support it too. It just isn't as easy to add as some may assume.

Yeah it would be kinda rsome to have helis in lu but the problem is because some people might have cleo and other ppl dont...

With cleo in lu, you can have hacks, airbreak, all weapons, etc..
it would be bad idea to place cleo to lu

This isn't stating cleo this is stating standard memory hooking. the mod has only been worked with 1.0 patch

I think he was referring to the initial discussion earlier on in the topic. The helicopter mod, in its current state, does require CLEO. As I mentioned later on, if it could be remade normally, there's a chance. :P

I saw .asi file for flyning like a helicopter, in LU. But LU needs other update - fix fu... crashes and bugs.

If Grand Theft auto Liberty City Stories was ported for pc. there could be more possibilitys.. But the file builds are totally different,
The only reason why i say is the fact that i can steal a helicopter in lcs.Its complicating but can be done.
Lcs MP would be pretty cool

well both vcs and lcs 10 year anniversary is coming soon, it would be epic if both of those games could be ported to pc.. well atleast theyre getting phone versions.

Its Long over due for Pc and unfortunately the experts that modded Gta III files have moved on to newer projects over the years so i don't see to much help on unlocking some of the different file builds..
