Liberty Unleashed's development stopped years ago. It was a great mod and had a great run, but the creator seems to have abandoned it, leaving us all with an unfinished mod that desperately needs security and stability fixes that unfortunately are unlikely to happen.

GTA Connected is stable, has good sync, and receives regular updates that fix bugs and add features all the time (at the time of this post, last update was two days ago)

Oh, and GTA Connected is not just for GTA III ... we support Vice City and San Andreas too (GTA IV is almost ready, and we plan to start development for GTA V, GTA 1, and GTA 2 soon).

It isn't a virus, but it is indeed piracy. Unfortunately sharing files like this enables people to pirate the game illegally, thus making it illegal. While I do appreciate your efforts to help others, I'm unfortunately obligated to remove the links.
