Hi, it's been a while! I'm here to present you another Discord server, this one is my personal project and I hope it will turn out a fun yet relaxing hub. Note: this is neither the official LU Discord, nor we represent any of the servers the channels are related to. The idea behind this server is to make it more tied to the in-game activity hopefully, so I added a few channels already related to the active servers, so far CZ server, GTA.ru and Clan Wars. If you have any suggestions feel free to join us and let us know. I decided to have server staff moderate their own channels individually, the global staff will not normally interfere with them as long as the global rules are respected, of course the admins' power is limited only to their own server channel. Inspired by this topic, I decided to create another one . Logs can be found in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\GTA3 User Files\LU\Logs directory, you can just paste the line in the address bar, and then just open Log.log with any text editor. Rules: 1. include your log inside [.code][./code] tags (without the .) Here is a quick tutorial on how to make LU windowed mode better. To get rid of those nasty borders and fix the window position we are going use a program called Windowed Borderless Gaming which you can get here. With this same program we will also prevent the cursor from going over the game window. 1. Download the program mentioned above, unpack it and run the exe. Note: this is a portable app and requires no installation so you can just drop the folder everywhere you like the most.Once opened you'll see this: 2. Now open LU browser, enable the windowed mode by ticking the box in Tools>Settings if you didn't already and connect to any server to start the game. 3. Open the program's context menu by clicking its tray icon and select Add window ( F3 ). Go back to the game and press F3. If you did everything correctly you will get this message: Note: when I did this process my game crashed however the program registers everything correctly so in case it happens, start the game again and continue with the next point.4. Now that the program keeps track of the game let's proceed to adjust its settings, so open the context menu and select Settings>Game settings. This is how it should look like by default. 5. To get rid of the borders we are going to move the game window a bit up and left, so start decreasing the X and Y offsets clicking Apply to see the changes, until the borders are completely hidden. What worked best for me is X: -3 and Y: -25. 6. To prevent the mouse from going over the game window, check Manage mouse and Lock to game window options. We are done! Moreover the program will recognise everytime you start the game and instantly apply the settings you previously defined, else once in game press F4 (by default) to apply the settings. Also don't forget to check Run at startup to avoid the hassle of opening it everytime you turn on your PC.

More than two years after its foundation, I felt like it was about time to have its own topic. So here we go: unwelcomed to Worst Server unofficial topic folks. All the updates about lately added awful features, unimportant news disclosures, further script unoptimisation and other random shite will be posted here. The whole concept behind it was about how long a unskilled script newb can survive in the virtual jungle LU is. At least initially the server was based off Mess About Server script, however it later evolved into a messy freeroam of its own kind, even though I'm the same script newb as two years ago Along with this topic I'm also somewhat glad to announce, after a not well pondered sudden change of mind, that Worst Server has just been updated to 0.17 version, and thus more easily playable by everyone. I can't assure there will be more frequent updates, lately motivation struck me again, but more than half of the times I end up being stuck at some point while coding some crazy ideas. I may take it back in the future, but for long I planned to rewrite it completely to no extent. So I'll try to progressively modify it in shape with smaller updates. Here in Worst Server, we don't believe in security, so we use unhashed passwords! Jokes but in fact, we don't use passwords at all. There is no account system so far, I always deemed it too good for the server. The only downside being the FFA impersonation, consider it a feature, if you see my nick in the server you may never know whether it's me or someone else What it's there to add? Today I opened the browser and I find it impressive how this joke made it so far, breaking several records, currently being the second oldest server other than GTA.ru (at the time of posting) and the only server that has been up without a break since August 2014. And yes I know "lolmortuary" is also older but it's been constantly on and off. " The Worst is here to stay" and being the WSO (Worst Server Owner) I can't assure I'll keep faith with this promise. Using onTimeChange, how can I tell if five minutes have passed? I don't mind whether it's a multiple of five (5, 10, 15, etc.) or just each five (2, 7, 12, 17, etc.). </noob>

I'd like to invite all the ones who have projects in LU, be it a script or be it a server, to present and discuss about it here to show the activity that there is in LU. I'll go first. I got a server running for two years now, I decided to call it Worst Server because my scripting is super bad it is currently a freeroam server. Lately Motley is working on updating and expanding the scripts. Feel free to join this discussion, I know at least two other people are working on something but I'll leave up to them to present their projects, one being Vortrex since we had a discussion some months ago, and the other being James_Conway, since I read something about it in Argonath forum. EDIT: I forgot to mention Aurora as an active project, and 19323 Racing, there are new racing tracks added almost daily. Again, up to the owners to join this topic and present/discuss them. If you have a project you haven't announced yet, then maybe this is the time to delurk yourself and create interest on it

EDIT: Stoku found a temporary solution until the developers hopefully fix it for good, scroll down and go read his post.This is kinda a repost that I'm doing just because the original post I wrote was in a unrelated thread, and here is the correct thread with a proper title. Still if you want to read the whole original topic I attached the link at the end of this post.I'm not able to turn on the Windows server after the update. I tested with two different versions of Win 7, one x64 the other x86, same result. The server crashes under EVERY condition, removing scripts or modules makes no change. My server.exe crashes with this reason:

I found reason why cant work my server, what Windows LU server 0.1.0.17 = bugged. LU Server 0.1.0.17 can only work to Linux

In less than one month, my host is going to expire and I'm not sure if renewing it or not (I'm not looking for free hosts either so don't suggest me that). My server is nothing special I'm aware of that hence its name, but considering the small amount of servers this mod has, I'd like to hear some feedback if I should renew the host or not. I won't necessarily renew it if YES wins over NO, but surely I'll be more motivated in case I decide to. Please feel free to share your opinion along with the reason behind your vote.

I'd like to request a ban of a server from masterlist because of using malicious scripts created with the purpose of screwing players game. Here is the IP+port: 89.73.158.126:2301 and here is my proof against it: Check very carefully the last joining time 16:36 Check very carefully the first three files (handling.cfg, gta.dat and weapons.dat) all three with the same last modified time and date and 0 kb as size Now see the creation date of these three files, gta.dat and weapons.dat are non vanilla game files even though they use similar names of original ones (gta3.dat and weapon.dat) and they have both been created the 22 of March 2016, at 16:36:58, and last modified at 16:37:17 of the same day. The third file handling.cfg is a vanilla game file and here you can see it's been created a while ago (30 January 2016, when I installed the game) yet still it has been modified again at the 16:37 today. All those files if opened are blank. What got me suspicious is that when I tried joining other servers in the evening, I couldn't cause my game kept crashing instantly, even before it got to the loading screen. To cut a long story short, by doing a quick ip lookup, the server probably belongs to Kewun, everything but unknown for ruining others' gameplay. @Players: Be on the lookout for this server IP, or for Poland geobased IPs in case he has dynamic IP (and I think he does), as it can screw some of your data files, and if you have no backup, like me right now, it will be a pain in the ass getting others or reinstalling your game.

This is just a basic script for a speed limiter, I personally chose to set the limit to 72.4 km/h (~45 mph) which is the speed limit in Liberty City's real-life counterpart (or at least I think it was back in 2001). In my opinion it can be useful for roleplay servers. Feel free to suggest possible improvements or report bugs if there are any.
