To the Liberty Unleashed Community,


It has been a few months since LU has been released.
There are however not as many players or servers as I expected.

The scripting implementation of LU allows for great flexibility and creativity.
The capabilities however have not been explored enough.

I have a dedicated server located at Germany at my disposal. (You can ping windlord.net)
I'll keep it simple, I am willing to host servers for free but with a few conditions.



1. You should be eager and know how to script or know someone who knows how to script.
    I will only be hosting servers which have unique ideas and servers which will not keep idle for months. If you think you have an awesome idea and can script it, ask me to host it for you!
    This means that I will not host servers for mere testing, or for basic fun. The scripts you make should be sophisticated and fun to run and use.

2. You should be willing to upload something (anything) to the script releases section over here at the LU forums once a month while your server is being hosted.
    Try to find out new features and ways to use them. Share them, help others and help this community grow!

3. You should be willing to edit and update the LU wiki. This includes testing functions and events.
    I will not actually check if you do so, just be willing!



As long as you think you can conform to the three conditions above, I'll host your server for you.

You will get:

• A .windlord.net subdomain (web hosting) - This allows for the scripting of web panels and sites.
  
• ssh access to control the server - This includes scp and sftp. No ftp included
  
• Get to choose your own ports for the server - 1337 is taken, I'm sorry.
  
• No branding from myself. You can do whatever the hell you want.
• All this for free.

Just post below (and not in a pm) the following and I'll get back to you asap.

People who are part of your server project: Bob, Joe, Jamie
Duration of free hosting: 3 months [This can be indefinite]

Capability to use ssh and a linux shell: (Good/A bit/No) [Not necessary]
Will you release LU scripts/modules every month? (Yes/No)
Will you update and edit the LU scripting wiki? (Yes/No)

The gamemode idea: A rotating gamemode which changes modes between deathmatch, roleplay, and freeroam. There will be plenty of minigames for each mode and players can vote on the next mode.
[Give me specifics but not anything about the method of scripting itself.]
How long it will take to finish the gamemode: 3 weeks

Duration of free hosting: indefinite

Capability to use ssh and a linux shell: so-so, getting better.
Will you release LU scripts/modules every month? I'll try to release snippets, but i have doubts people will use them!
Will you update and edit the LU scripting wiki? Not likely, reason being I'm uncertain on particular things though I may add some bits.

The gamemode idea: A server with multiple sub gamemodes rolled into one, cmds will be limited depending on mode, modes will likely include Sniper submodes (2/3 different ones), deathmatch/TDM, and possibly a race mode.
How long it will take to finish the gamemode: 3 millenia! (I honestly haven't a clue)

P.s I thougt I would post this even though you're already hosting it, as an example to people incase they misunderstood.

The gamemode idea: This will be a server with different modes for example will be a duel 1vs1 team and fight with various weapons and possibly race mode.
How long it will take to finish the gamemode: 8 Months

Also, your gamemode does not offer anything new so at least one interesting idea would be nice.

4. Capability to use ssh and a linux shell: enough to launch or restart the server and upload files
5. Will you release LU scripts/modules every month? look at point 3
6. Will you update and edit the LU scripting wiki? ^

The gamemode idea: An advanced attack and defence gamemode with capability to change team names, add custom bases in XML file and more.

Attackers objective is taking defencers base (marker) or killing enemies.
Defenders objective is defending marker for X minutes or killing enemies.

How long it will take to finish the gamemode: point 3

Additional info: The gamemode is almost done (I've started coding it a while before LU release). It needs only some tweaks, GUI improvements, more official bases and some tests.
