Hey everybody.

So the problem is stated right in the title, I have got russian-localised by "1C" Grand Theft Auto 3 and Liberty Unleashed installed. Each time I try to enter the game, the error appears:

Incorrect gta3.exe version detected.
You must use GTA3 1.1

But it is 1.1! And it's not cracked!

Umm, i don't think that you should be giving people gta3.exe's (That's a law), especially if it is not gonna run on LU...

We don't need your exe, since it wont work like you say.
LU needs the original rockstar-patched v1.1 of the game, any other executables wont work.

Russian language wasn't supported until Rockstar Games establshied its partnership with russian distributor 1C, so this gta3.exe is patched by localiser to support russian (texts and fonts). Patch 1.1 included.
If I use other .exe's, the game won't work.

Unfortunately you'll have to buy an english 1.1 version of the game then.

You can also search for modified american.gtx to russian language.

Think that doesn't matter since it's the exe that's not working, not the rest.

I mean he can play with russian language anyway without his license. And possibly copy localized to rus lang files to english version, it might be just american.gtx. Or he can find another same-name file, but with "unofficial" ru translation. Though he still have to download full english game.

Well, I replaced the Russian gta3.exe with English one, then chose English language.
