Sound Bug
« on: October 29, 2010, 07:28:12 pm »
Version: 0.1.02
What you/the other player were doing when you noticed the bug: driving car
What you would expect to happen if the bug didn't occur:I don't hear motor.
I normally drive DoDo and listening to radio (INGAME) and hear DoDo motor sound. When i pressed ALT + TAB and next returned to game, i heard ONLY radio, not DoDo motors' sound.

Does this still happen in 0.1.0.12? If so, I'll try to reproduce it.

It happened to me one time... You have to go to audio options, and select a audio driver, or just update the driver

Is this the bug where if you alt-tab with a police siren on, sometimes it also causes this, and if you pause and unpause a couple times, the audio comes back?

Dunno, never happened to me that way, I saw that because I was on foot and all sounds played normally, but if I enter a car, only the radio was played, the car engine and the ambience sounds were off

Ya, that would be the same bug, and it's a very odd one. For some reason those sounds will stop processing for an unknown time unless you pause and unpause again. It's likely a bug caused by the SCM code being emulated through memory hooks, rather than being called directly, since LU doesn't use the SCM file. It could either be just something bugging in the code randomly, or an incompatibility of sorts with the current hooking method. At this point, I doubt anyone really knows, but it is probably worth looking into at some point. :)
