Steam compatibility.
« on: January 11, 2008, 11:41:36 am »
Hi, I've been reading up on this for quite a bit and it all is making me excited waiting for it. I was just wondering if you knew that the whole GTA collection had been put on Steam and if so, were you planning on compatibility for that version too? Sorry if this had been brought up before. Great work though, it's looking/sounding good. :D
Don't worry, profession is supposed to be spelled with two f's. In fact, we need a ph there.

Wow i didn't know steam were now selling GTA's. Thanks for letting us know (even though i have them all.. :P)

anyway, i'm unsure how 3rd party games work on steam. If it works just like the original games with the same executables and stuff then LU should work. If its a differant executable (which i doubt) then it will not work.

Any information into how it all works would be appreciated :)

It shouldn't change things too much, in fact, Steam and Valve might have made things easier for modding and whatnot.
