Wiki needs translations
« on: July 26, 2012, 05:31:24 pm »
I have just been messing with the LU wiki and i have installed an extension that lets users translate any page on to their native language. This can help users that struggle with english or if it isn't their first language.

All we need now is translators. If your native language isn't english, please go to the wiki and translate some of our pages :) You can check the main pages that need translating Here
Also, if you set your language in the wiki preferences you should see an option to translate any page that you are on (but i haven't tested this)

To translate a page you require permission to do so, if you're willing to help us out let us know your username on the wiki and we'll grant you permission :)

Why i can't translate Wiki anymore? I mean i cant see live results of my translations on the whole page that i am translating.

Only if i want to see translations manually, i can watch it here:

@ Clark Kent
Make sure you are a member of translators group (like me):

http://liberty-unleashed.co.uk/LUWiki/Special:Preferences (Click on that link)

Then, on the same settings page make sure you have selected your language:

@ Liberty Unleashed Team:

It's obvious to me that  some rights from translators group have  been removed ( probably to reduce spam or smth like that) either something  went wrong (probably wrong wiki update).

But my question will be pretty easy, can you just setup it back as it was before?

Thanks guys.

Should be fixed. There was an issue with an captcha mod that fucked things up :)

Again, no live results on http://liberty-unleashed.co.uk/LUWiki/Server_Manual/ru stuck at 62%

Also, what did you meant by this:
Quote

If there are other arguments than the ones mentioned above, the first one will be the server config file.
This allows you to run multiple servers with different configs using the same binary and script files.

I just didn't get it, it looks like a senseless sentence for  me.

It's ridiculous...

Now this page shows 97% but, without NEW translations.

Why do you even care about these numbers. As long as translating works it seems useless to me..

Thank you for your reply.

On the page that i mentioned above, you can see 50% of russian and 50% of english, while wiki reports it's as 97% (i really did it) and this is just ridiculous.

UPDATE:

For those who still didnt understood:

If your session on the wiki was lucky enough, then wiki can push this number of % to the higher value. BUT! No more than this, because  page remains in english  forever or until some magic appear.

Conclusion: i don't see any point in translating broken wiki currently. Sorry.
